May 17, 2006, Consolacion National High School launched the Brigada Eskwela 2006 with the respected educators and officials ranging from local to national and Luli Arroyo as the guest of honor.
The activity kicked-off early 7:00 am with a parade followed a short program in which volunteers of the said Brigada are welcome by the CNHS principal Mrs. Adelina P. Semblante and the town Mayor Avelino G. Gungob.
On behalf of Luli Arroyo’s absence due to conflict of time, Under Secretary of Education Hon. Ramon C. Bacani officially launched the Brigada Eskwela 2006 and quoted that “Education is everybody’s business”. He stressed out that participation of various sectors and stakeholders can contribute the performance of the school.
Other important personalities present are the Deped Officials Carolino Mordeno, Region VII, Regional Director; Serina Uy, RegionVII, ARD; Recaredo G. Borgonia Schools Division Superintendent, DepEd-Cebu Province; Judiana Coriente, ASDS and Joey Pelaez, Executive Director Center for Students and Co-Curricular Affairs.
The realization of the Brigada Eskwela 2006 was done after the community singing in which students, parents , teachers and community volunteers helped hand-in-hand for the repairs of the tables and chairs, installing of fans, landscaping and repainting of classroom.
